The Challenge: Create a promotional website showcasing our new online auto dealer application. Develop a flexible CMS app that is easy to search, detailed, and the trickiest part, lives up to our own exacting standards.
The Solution: Because we want to market this application to various sized car dealerships, our number one concern was making the site easy to use with an interesting design. This was accomplished by giving the site an engineered theme: chrome navigation, drop down menus, and homepage animation that gets the customer rolling. A link to the car inventory allows the user to choose between different categories of vehicles. The autos are then listed, each item containing a small image of the vehicle and the year, model, mileage and price. The customer has the option of sorting the list by these fields or clicking on a vehicle to view a details page.
Displayed on the details page are a vehicle's title, model, vin number, mileage and any other descriptive information, including an unlimited amount of pictures, that the administrator wishes to add. The customer can then fill out a "Request for More Information" form which is automatically sent to the dealer with the customer's information attached. All this information can be edited and managed in a secure area on a common browser. This application just recently rolled off our lot, go to www.farentholdmotors.com for a test drive.
